About This Page: This is a discussion on NHL Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Wow! I thought I was watching 80's hockey again.
If you look back at some of the other teams that were down 3-1 that came back and won it... they had characteristics similar to what is happening in this series. Goalie meltdown (Price) in one game, young players stepping up after being called out (Kessel)... it's happening again.
Bruins have a great shot at winning this series. The pressure for the Canadiens to impress at home will be enormous. The B's can just focus on winning the game.

The first Philadelphia/Washington game was excellent, but I agree - this one topped it (barely). Great stuff.

Someone else on another forum did some digging on similarities and came up with this list of similarities between this series and the 2004 Boston-Montreal series:
Raycroft rookie of the year in his first playoffs.
Price may be rookie of the year in his first playoffs.
2004 Montreal is down 3-1
2008 Boston is down 3-1
2004 Montreal scores 10 goals in games 5 and 6
2008 Boston scores 10 goals in games 5 and 6
2004 Boston wins first 2 at home (game 2 in OT)
2008 Montreal wins first 2 at home (game 2 in OT)
2004 Claude Julien is coach of Montreal
2008 Claude Julien is coach of Boston
2004 Montreal comes back to win series on Bruins ice
2008 Boston ??? series on Canadiens ice
Crazy.
