About This Page: This is a discussion on NHL Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Jokinen gets traded from Florida to Phoenix for Kieth Ballard, Nick Boyton and the 49th.
I think this deal will shift the power of the Western Conference because they have a big-time center playing alongside an already good and improving team.
They also have Turris (maybe Boedker as well?) looking to join them this year.
Ballard was the key guy, but lets face it, the rest with him just don't add up to what Olli brings.
Its already more than a tough job to make the playoffs and with what Phoenix has done, its going to be VERY hard next year.
Lets hope that age finally puts Detroit and Dallas into rebuild mode, but it would seem pretty unlikely for next year?

Unlikely for Detroit. Likely for Dallas.
But we have been saying that about Dallas for three seasons now.
