8:39 p.m. Big Jagr rumor -- According to a source close to the Rangers organization who fed me the Naslund signing 50 minutes before the press announced it, the Rangers organization believes Jagrs' preference is to sign with the Penguins. It's believed Mario and Jagr have had private discussions but the question remains according to this source, will the Penguins do what it takes to clear enough salary to sign Jagr? There's a rumor going around if Boyle accepts a trade to Ottawa, the Lightning would be interested in Sydor and Scuderi if they miss out on Jason Smith. Just hearsay regarding the Scuderi/Sydor rumor but my source with the Jagr info was on the spot with the Naslund signing so this may have legs. Waiting to hear back from my Penguins sources. more to come
Same people who had the Naslund signing before it happened but damn seems like alot of stuff can be brewing since we have nothing else to be excited about, this is exciting since there can be alot of players on da move =)

if i was dean i'd offer jagr a 1 year 10 million deal, it would be up to him if he would want to go to up contender for less. all the very good teams now have less than 5 million to spend. i doubt they would spend that money on jagr because that kind of money will be needed during the year, once jagr joins our team (LOL if he does....), and we get a guy like kabarle/kubina via trade....this team maybe fighting for alteast the 8th playoff spot!

I can't believe the Flyers might let Smith walk. They just traded for him a year ago and he's their Captain. He played pretty well in the playoffs. I know the have some cap issues, but to let him go to the Penguins would come back and ite them in the ass. I would love DL to sign a guy like Smith.
