and at your comment regarding the 1st goal. i'm sorry, but he's a goalie. his job is to stop the puck even if you just noticed it coming at you at the last second. i hate to sound so cliché, but i've played goal and i would not have ducked even if a puck were coming at my head if it meant a goal would be scored. that's what the mask is for, yo!
Again, it's human instinct to get out of the way of something flying at you. Of course he is trained to do the opposite, but instinct is an extremely hard think to override. Try standing still when someone throws a punch at your face.

had he stuck his glove up and made some sort of an attempt to save it, it wouldn't be nearly as funny. normal human reaction is indeed to duck from something coming at you, but he's a GOALIE for f***'s sake. if my goaltender did the same thing, i would be pissed!!!

I'm can't confirm that he didn't see the shot till the last second, but the only thing between him and the puck was a stick. He should have been able to see the wind-up and everything.

Giguere is not known for his quick reflexes. He either gets himself and his Michelin Man pads square to the shooter and the puck hits him, or it's a goal.
