After watching Montreal/Atlanta & Toronto/Boston go to a shootout, The Oilers and Capitals have taken this shootout to the 12th round. Neither Kolzig, nor Roloson has allowed a goal in the Shootout.
Wow, Roloson stopped Semin, Backstrom AND Ovechkin.
Kolzig stopped the unstoppable Sam Gagne.
BTW, 5 of the 6 games that have been completed so far tonight have gone to the SO.
I wouldn't say stopped, more like stood with him. Gagnier tried a few too many moves.
Funny thing is, Gagnier hadn't played in like 20 minutes due to the bench being shortened. How you put a guy out there cold (even one with Gagnier's hands) for the last half hour is beyond me.
