A little to note, Sutherby had been a healthy Scratch for the Caps since November 5th. He lost his spot to Dave Steckel.

Sutherby is a pain in the butt to play against. He'll fit into the Ducks style very well and he's a decent size player...
Sutherby is very familiar with Portland ME should it ever come to that...
Didn't Carlyle work in the CAPS organization at one point???
There are a couple of guys up from Portland that would probably be better off in Portland...
When Burke did the 2-for-1 contract trade followed up with waiving Bryz did folks not think he'd go shopping with the contracts???

I didn't, but probably because I was erring in thinking that Niedermayer and Selanne don't currently count as contracts. They do count, right?

Selanne is a UFA who has to sign by December. Neidermayer i think counts as a contract.
