Went to the Ducks vs. Avalanche game on Wed. night. Before the game, my wife and I ate at JT Schmid's restaurant across from the Ponda Center. As I was leaving JT's for the game. A Ducks fan saw me wearing my Nordiques Hextall jersey.
Here's the conversation that commenced:
Ducks Fans (DF): Hey, thats an old jersey.
Me: Yep.
DF: That's the old Montreal jersey, right?
Me: No, it's the Quebec Nordiques jersey.
DF: Hextall? He started his career in Montreal.
Me: No, he started his career in Philadelphia.
DF: Yeah. He won a cup for Bobby Clarke.
Me: No, Hextall never won a Stanley Cup.
DF: Oh.
I was actually shocked the guy knew who Bobby Clarke was. He probably didn't even know that the Avalanche used to be the Nordiques. After all these years. The Ducks fans still have no clue.
I brought a couple of Ducks fans to the Kings vs. Flames game and they were surprised on how much us 'Kings' fans know. They consider us all DIE HARD FANS and we know a lot about hockey!
here we go again. Everytime one of you go the Ducks game you feel the need to start a post about how stupid the fans are, WHY ?
I know not all Ducks fans are idiots. I guess my points is. If you don't really know what your talking about. Then don't say anything. Or ask, so that you know the right information. It's just annoying when someone is telling you something that is false and they think they are right. They try coming off like they know something, when they don't. I'm sure all new hockey fans want to fit in.
