It was reported that Blake Wheeler decided that he wanted to become a free agent rather than sign with the team that originally drafted him(Phoenix '04). Why I ask...was there some dirty dealing by Chiarelli(tampering). Knowing this Chiarelli I don't doubt it...
I bet there was money that was sent to the Wheeler camp(under the table). I have nothing to make that assumption on just a hunch. Call it instinct...

Get back to me when you have proof that the Bruins and/or Chiarelli tampered with either Chara or Wheeler.

C'mon Gator Mike, you can't top instinct! Dean Lombardi must have tampered with Brad Stuart last season. I mean, he was San Jose's former GM who drafted Stuart. I bet there was money under the table. And how Wheeler made visits to a handful of Eastern Conference teams was purely a dog and pony show to cover up that he wanted to go to Boston all along.
I bet Phoenix was like, "hey, we have a lot of forwards already, perhaps some time in the AHL?"
and Boston was all like, "Hey guy, come here and play top line minutes!"
and the decision was pretty easy for Blake.
