Detroit Red Wings.. 82 54 21 07 115
Nashville Predators 82 41 32 09 091
Season Series:
Nov 07 Det-3 Nas-2
Nov 22 Det-2
Detroit is beat up and they have tons of trouble against the teams in their division... they've been long written off as too old, but they're the f***ing Red Wings, as usual. better Predators teams couldn't get past the first round and this lesser version ain't going to either.
There's no way Nashville gets past the first round. I think any other team would have a chance at eliminating the Wings, who have been wildly inconsistent the last part of the season. I just don't see Nashville being good enough to do it.
It's not even going to be close. Barry Trotz deserves a few votes for the Jack Adams but Babcock will prove why he's going to win it (Or rather, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, et all will prove it for him).
They will be so damn intimidating and overpowering that Barry Trotz will wave the white flag and say I give up...Now back to reality
Detroit over the last few years has had some trouble in the first round. It will be interesting to see what the Mason/Ellis tandem can do in net. Also, if Radulov plays his balls off and puts up some points it could become interesting...on the other hand
Detroit has a proven playoff player in McCarty. Lidstrom is as solid as ever on the blueline, and I believe that this will be the year Datsyuk comes out of his playoff goal scoring shell.
