3:49 for one shift alone. They dressed 5 d-men which is a factor, but 37 minutes of a 60 minute regulation game with no OT's is unbelievable. Aucion (AFAIK) is the only player (excluding goalies obviously) to go higher than that.
Didn't Chelios not too long ago publicly state that he wanted to play the entire 60 minutes?
Please find any reference to a NHL player who openly complained about getting too much ice time. I'm guessing there's never been one. I hate making such absolute assumptions, but I'm fairly certain that's never happened.
I'm "complaining" because there's no reason the coaching staff can't do a better job of balancing out the TOI between the 5 d-men they dressed - particularly when the team is struggling to win games. Like I said, if they were winning, it wouldn't be scrutinized so heavily, but given their W/L record directly impacts the Kings drafting chances, I'm caring more than I normally would.
