Sidney Crosby suffered a high ankle sprain during the first period of the Pittsburgh Penguins’ game vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday. The team said he will not return and will be re-evaluated by team doctors on Saturday.
Kings fans know about high ankle sprains.
They don't heal very quickly.
Alex Semin is just getting back into the swing of things after he suffered one at the start of the season.
The last week or so when I've seen the commercial with the clip of him sliding into the goal post with his leg, and it seems like he does that in every Pens game I see, I've wondered how long it'd be until he injures a leg.
Crosby's injury will be re-evaluated Saturday by team doctors amid reports from Fox Sports Pittsburgh that he will be out for about four weeks. He will not join the team for their Saturday night matchup in Montreal against the Canadiens, and could also miss the 2008 NHL All-Star Game in Atlanta next week.
Who gets his spot in the All Star game is what I wanna know. Its hard to get people other than fans to watch the game and now without the number one draw I bet the NHL is crappin their pants. Maybe Wayne or Mario will suit up and try to save the day.
