1) Has an NHL goalie ever directly scored a goal (i.e. shot it himself, not been the last one to touch it) when there wasn't an empty net at the other end?
2) What the hell happened to Eric Daze? I remember him getting the MVP award for the All-Star game a few years back.

Hextall was the first goalie to actually shoot on net and score. Brodeur's gotten a couple, Osgood has one, and so do Theodore and Nabakov.
Billy Smith, Damien Rhodes, Mika Noronen, and Chris Mason have goals where they were the last player to touch it and then it accidentally went into the other net.
As for Eric Daze I believe he's got major back issues.
Hey FS-nice to see ya. All the goalie goals were of the empty net variety. I like your point though and Im surprised an opposing teams goalie hasnt every tried it with Cloutier-that would actually have a pretty high chance of success.

Oh man, the mental picture of that happening alone is just awesome. Especially if it's done by another AHL goalie.
