I call shenanigans. You'll always be a Bert-lover, just admit it and you will set yourself free.

Karma to whomever can finish that.

I've never been a Bert lover. I just never once believed what happened to Moore was 100% his fault (not going into why because that has been done to death before). Nor do I condemn someone for one mistake. If you guys can look past McSorely and his "my stick grazed the shoulder pad I intended to hit" bull**** excuse then surely you can understand why I don't want Bertuzzi to hang.
**** Brashear. You cant compare the McSorley/Brashear incident to the Bertuzzi/Moore.
I get that you dont want to be pigeonholed because of the sometimes irrational Duck hate that happens here. However, those two incidents were pretty polar opposite from conception to result and I dont think it's fair that you bring up McSorley as a trump card vs. those that dislike Bertz.

I think it's apparent that he's done a lot more than that, such as the topic subject, which is why he's known as a hack
The topic of this subject is total bs. The puck was live. If Morrow's face was in the neighborhood that's his problem. Not only that, the point of contact was with Morrow's chest not his face.
What I find amazing is that despite the thread title nobody has acknowledged that Morrow was taken off the ice with his face buried in a bloody towel which is what would have happened had he been.....I don't know.....slashed in the face.
Can't stand either one of 'em, honestly -- Bertuzzi and Morrow are both pieces of -- but the former is the bigger pile of s*** that stinks more, if that's possible.
Let's see what the officials in TO want to do with it ...

White man cracks a brother upside the head with a stick and from behind and you defend whitey. Damn, you are more of a sellout than I am.
Ironically, both Brashear and Moore sustained injuries because they chose to skate away from a fight. Makes one wonder what would have happened had they just fought like men.

Moore already got in a fight that game, and it should have ended there
McSorley is more of a brotha than Brashear. Whens the last time you saw a black man run his mouth then run away from the ensuing fight?? Seriously.
Brashear ran his mouth ran his mouth ran his mouth then ran away. He was instagating then wanted to giggle and smirk. He got tapped on the ear, which admittedly sucks but it was his own dive reaction and loose chinstrap that ****ed him up. We dont need to rehash Bertuzzi.
Brashear would be less of a bitch and Moore would still be playing.
They sent Matt Cooke after Moore in the 1st period to get back at him and thats where it should have ended...have you ever played hockey or do you just watch it?

I live in South Orange County so I see a black man about once every 3-4 weeks. Unless I go to clubs in Newport and they drive down from Long Beach or something.

I'm not a big fan of backing down from an on ice fight. Real life? Different story but if you want to be a player in the NHL then you need to understand that at least once or twice in your life you'll have to fight. It's always been my contention that had Moore just accepted the challenge he would not have been hurt. Maybe he would have gotten his bell rung but it would not have turned into what it did. As for Brashear he's a goon and should never skate away period.

There is the beauty of the parallell. I have been called many names for stating my belief that Moore was done in by the fact that his own teammate tackled Bertuzzi from behind and the two of them fell on Moore's back. Had that not happened he would only have to deal with the Beukeboom style punch he took to the back of the head. People argued that it's all Bertuzzi's fault because he set the chain of events in motion. However, when McSorely set off his own chain of events all I hear is well Donald should strap his lid on a little tighter. Personally I don't see ANY difference.
