What?!?!?! You justify an illegal move by saying it's OK because it didn't hurt? If it's illegal, it gets called. Period. It doesn't matter if one player is wearing more padding than another.

I'm saying its not the biggest cheapshot of all time like the TS implies. Yeah, it's a slashing penalty, but its not any worse than any other slash that goes on in an NHL game.
Also, it looked like Fleury patted him on the butt with his stick...or was that just from the rear view and Fleury actually slashed him first?
The whole thing started when Avery tapped him in the back of the leg when the puck was dumped behind the net. Avery goes to the front of the net, gets knocked down, gets up and moved right in front of Fleury. Fleury knows there is no time left and smacks him between the legs, right in the nuts. Avery turns around and slashes him and then the game ends with all the other stuff. Fleury took the cheap shot knowing nothing would be called and got away with it.
As for the stories my brother has shared with you I'm pretty sure that they are only partially true. I'd be happy to discuss them with you if you could recall any of them. In most cases I'm pretty sure I didn't throw the first punch, didn't come off the bench and didn't wave my hand/stick/jock in a goalies face. Now farting in a goalies face is a different story.
