More Avery threads?! Woo-hoo!! While I agree that Brodeur is probably one of the greatest goalies ever, the fact that a "loser schmuck" like Avery, a player far from the hall of fame numbers Brodeur has, can get into his head enough to sway the series really has to show the NHL community that he is worth as much as he will be asking for this off-season. If pests got into the hall of fame though, he would be a shoo in! =)

Giguere never played well against Avery too.
I have a hard time it wasn't planned at all.

Devils minus Brodeur = weak, weak team.

Plus every time they say that "Avery got personal" with his insults. Sometimes I wonder the truth of that statement. However it's fairly undeniable that Avery does get pointed out and charged with penalties he didn't quite deserve fairly often.

He's playing well in the playoffs. Good for him. He's got big points on a big time team during a big time series. Not bad for a person who went undrafted.

It's true...he does it on and off the ice.

As for him and Brodeur, they've been at odds all season long - and I think the crap Avery pulled during the playoffs was the last straw for Marty.

first off, countless nhl'rs talk about how avery crosses the line with his heckling/ abuse. its not just brodeur. the guy is a cancer in this league. the nhl should not tolerate immature **** like that. is that what we want everyone to think of the nhl? this is ridiculous. i cant believe some of you guys are backing avery. what he did, not withstanding his heckling, is grounds for not shaking his hand.

Perry's not the only guy he's fought...he dropped the gloves with Jovanoski to stand up for Belanger, and he fought Lappy too...Those two are pretty tough customers

Oh yeah, total cancer.... Everybody hates him...WTFE. We'll see about that this off season when everyone and their mom wants him on their team.... I know the Rangers haven't resigned him, but I think it's more Avery's decision than the Rangers. He knows he has the chance to get big money offers from at least 5-7 teams this offseason. He's going about it the smart way, proving that he can tear it up and be effective in the playoffs as well, and the Rangers will take notice. In five games so far this post season, he has a whopping 6 PIM. What a detriment he is! He's matured and is definitely a huge addition to any team. Oh and I don't care what went on during a game/series, not shaking someone's hand because you lost (or any other reason) is IMMATURE! I love Brodeur and was shocked by his childish behavior. The NHL shouldn't tolerate THAT ****! So suck it!

childish is waving your stick around in front of a goalie like a jackass. thats not hockey. that kind of **** belongs in the movie Slapshot, not in the nhl. i'm with brodeur on this. you're right about the fact that teams will be going after him in the off season, but that doesn't make it right. he's a detriment to the game. he makes hockey look bad. he's no bertuzzi, but he's still not the kind of guy i want in the nhl. plus, lets throw in avery's verbal attacks. yes, heckling is part of the game, but not what avery does. avery crosses the line. would you shake a man's hand who insulted your family?? i know i sure as hell wouldn't. i assume that you're part of team sean avery here on lgk and from what i can tell you're just as retarded as your teammates. why does anyone like this guy?? especially if you're a kings fan. after he left, he not only insulted the organization but its fans as well?? some of you guys seem to be attached to avery's jock strap for gods sake.

insulted his family? you honestly think anything that Avery said to Brodeur about his family could have been more insulting than Martin banging his sister-in-law?

nobody is an angel.

i'm not the biggest Sean Avery fan out there, but Martin Brodeur was beat and showed very little class.

What's retarded is a spectator making accusations about an athlete, that some of the greatest in the history of the game directly disagree with. You think he's a cancer in that locker room in New York? You think there's not more than a handful of teams who would LOVE to have him on their bench right now? People like you are unreal.

And why shouldn't he insult the organization? Double secret probation?

Why shouldn't he insult the fans? MOST OF YOU WERE HOPING FOR THE TEAM TO LOSE!!! For a higher pick? If you ask me, you're the ones who make the game look bad.

And that's good, go for the jock strap shot. That's only the millionth time I've ever read that. You take your bland, Sean Avery is a big meanie version of the league, and I'll take mine. Where what you say and do on the ice takes back seat to the outcome of the game.

Grow a spine and fix your shift key.

In Marty's defense, if he didn't bang his sister-in-law, Avery would have. Kudos to Marty for beating him to it.

I'm going to have to start a thread about people like you and the bulls*** excuse I keep hearing... "making the game look bad". Hockey is what it is. Period. People are either going to like or they are not. Hockey has the most stand up athletes of all the major sports. Has it hurt the NFL with all the Pacman Jones', Rae Carruth's, Ray Lewis' and Tank Johnsons'? Or how about the NBA and their model citizen athletes? (Kobe loves them little white women) Or the MLB and all the steroids scandals? With your crack headed logic, these sports should be standing in awe of the NHL's popularity. Sorry, Sean Avery's actions had no influence on the sports' image. Try again. Wait actually, please don't. You've already given me a headache.

P.S. "Team Avery"? Cute... Are you part of Team Can't Use Capital Letters Except When Titling A Movie?
