This all just proves that Sean did his job. Doesn't make him great and doesn't make him terrible...he did what he is paid to do...and he did it well. Many are talking about how off his game Broduer was and that Avery really got under his skin.
little bitch?? i think you're thinking of avery. brodeur is the quite possibly the GREATEST GOALIE EVER. no one will remember who the hell sean avery was in 20 years. pull your head out of your ass.
why would i want to do that? i like my ass.
i never said i thought brodeur sucked, but it also doesn't mean the most talented players in the world can't be whiny bitches.

You shake hands after the final game. It's called sportsmanship. I know many of you will or at the very least want to fire off some response about Avery and his lack there of, and that's fine.
What really matters is Avery is getting ready for the next round, and Brodeur is getting ready to hit the links.
Let's go Rangers.

Exactly. Whether a hockey player does his job by outskilling the opposition or getting under their skin and off their game is what COUNTS. It's ALL a part of hockey. Avery did it well and Brodeur's veteran "know how" should have been able to rise above Avery, but it didn't. Avery and the Rangers won. Done deal. - And for Brodeur not shaking his hand, c'mon! That showed who the bigger baby was.
I'm also glad I got my Avery jersey signed before he left.
The stuff that we saw on TV wasn't enough to make Brodeur not shake his hand IMO. But, there are also rumors that Avery got personal in his verbal tirades which wouldn't be the first time. It's a tough call.
At this point though, you have to admit he is definitely helping his team more than he is hurting it.

I heard that too. That's tough shaking someone's hand that was supposedly (supposedly from what I know, not from what Marty knows) was saying crap about your marriage. Either way, neither of them went out of their way to extend a hand to each other. They both kind of grazed on by one another.

That's not necessarily true. Although the shot is from behind, Avery at least faced Brodeur, and it seemed as though he went to shake his hand.
I guess those three Stanley Cups weren't blocking his hearing all that badly after all.
And for those of you who can't wait for him to be injured, you need a serious moment of self reflection. I'm willing to bet we've all had moments where someone wanted to crack our skull, doesn't mean we deserve it.
Tell me this; how is it wrong when it happens to one guy, but not another? THAT'S disgraceful. That's a sickening side of sports, when people think they can pick and choose what player should be banned for hurting someone and what player should be hurt. Seriously. Get a grip. He's a pest, and he does it well. He's not a disgrace, and although he wasn't the best fit for the softer side of hockey Los Angeles Kings, he seems to be doing something quite right in New York.
Goals: 3
Assists: 2
Plus/Minus: 3

he's not fat. he's just got a few rings weighing him down.
Well now he's got extra time to stare at them... at home.

I just hope I am watching when someone has finally had enough of Avery.
unfortunately I was watching when someone had enough of Avery and Avery just skated away. Barring someone going McSorely upside his head I don't think our desire to see him get his ass handed to him will ever be satiated.
