I've not at all looked at their cupboard, but I can say this, with all the hype we've been giving the top d-men in the draft, we are overlooking a couple of forwards that I know for certain some scouts are very, very high on. What we've heard mostly about ATL over the last couple of years is their inability to develop forwards to play with Hossa and Kovy, and you can be assured Waddel is fully aware that he lost Hossa because of it. I doubt he wants to experience the same thing with Kovy. Here are a couple of guys that may fill needs that are more pressing for the ATL and quite possibly, they could go away from Doughty should they secure the #2 pick...
Anyone here have more intimate knowledge on whats going on with the Chitown Wolves? I know they arent even really regarded as a developmental club for ATL as they are much more independent and are truly AHL focused....
Just up for discussion...does ATL possibly go off the board a bit?
