Well they had a "contest" thing at the game last night, where they asked a 5th grader some hockey questions about the kings in 45 seconds and he got 12 right. They did the same with some guy. The guy got 3 or 4 right, let me tell you some of the questions he got WRONG:
"What number does Anze Kopitar wear?" A: #12
"What position is Jason LaBarbera?" A: Defense
"Who is the Kings highest-scoring player?" A: Wayne Gretzky
There was more but I don't recall all of them.
Mind you for he got booed off by nearly everyone in Staples Center.
I believe that the guy couldn't properly hear a lot of the questions being asked because of the crowd/music noise. I read his lips saying I can't hear a thing. even my seatmates couldn't hear them properly.
the contest is BS.

It was a Duck fan, who got wrong the first question: which is your favorite team? He couldn't remember the name of his SC winning team, so he said he's a Kings fan.
He was certainly pretty dumb on some questions... but there is NO way a kid would get 12 of it correctly. Obviously bogus because they want the kid to win.
The same thing goes for the Kings Memory Watch. It used to be a 60 second game and you say which King player is behind which number from 1-9. Winner gets a 1,500 check or something to Lasik Eye Center. I recall 5 out of 7 people winning it, and the next time they had it... they knocked it down to 45 seconds. 1 out of 3 won that, and now (correct me if I'm wrong), it's only 30 seconds to do it. So unless you get it perfect on every try, you're most likely not going to win.

Last time I was at Staples, exactly that happened. I felt pretty bad for the kid because the 30 going on 16 year old was jumping up and down and rubbing it in to the camera. Maybe they've rigged it since then, cuz it was a sad sight to see (although I can't say my better half stopped me from chuckling a little).
Are you smarter then a 5th grade hockey fan?
