It has been said that DLombardi does not like Russians. I don't buy that. I think that if Deano can swing a deal with Atlanta for 3rd overall pick, the Kings will draft Nikita Filatov @ no.2,then draft DDoughty or Zach Bogosian @ no.3. For that to happen a couple of things will have to transpire. One, MCammalleri will need to sign a long term(3-5 year deal @ 6 M per annum) since he looks to be one of the components Atlanta will target. Prospect...LTukonen...Hate like hell to give up this guy...but...Dallas' pick(22nd-24th)overall in 2008 for 3rd overall in '08, 3rd rounder in '08, 2nd rounder in '09 and the rights to Ilya Nikulin. Of course Atlanta has to make sure they aren't getting fleeced... And for good measure we could send Atlanta, Lubomir Visnovsky and Jason LaBarbara for Kari Lehtonen and Boris Valabik...I know Santa Claus isn't coming to town...
PS If the Kings could secure the 3rd pick along with the 2nd we could draft Filatov. He is a talent just a cut below SStamkos...and he is the second best prospect...
DPS of course it all goes into the ****ter if we get the numero uno pick...
I think it's risky drafting any Russian player right now considering the transfer agreement problems with the Russians....
Not only that, they are trying to start a new league and may pay players more to stay which would give any team in the NHL a risk draft to Filatov in that high.

Ilya Nikulin? There's a name I haven't heard in like seven years.
I'm still doubting that Cammalleri + late first rounder vaults you into the top 5. Think of what Martin Havlat fetched for Ottawa when he was one year away from free agency.
The Sens got Tom Preissing (for one year), Josh Hennessey (okay 2nd tier prospect), Michal Barinka (2nd/3rd tier prospect), and a 2nd rounder (two years later, ended up being a pretty high 2nd). Not exactly the most impressive package.
Honestly don't see how any team would trade out of the top 5 to get Cammalleri. Especially if it's going to take a 6 million dollar extension (exactly the same as Havlat's).
Concur with comment regarding transfer agreement - Two I dont see Atlanta giving up on Lehtonen that easily and C - I'd rather have Kovalchuk if we're really discussing deals with HOTlanta!
I think Atlanta is ready to pawn off KLehtonen since they have young OPavelec ready and willing to step in. He's younger, cheaper and not injury prone...
PS Read and put together the pieces of the trade. It is a good trade and better than the **** you guys are...arent proposing...
