Yawn. I like Frolov, always have, always will. However, I do not think he will be the difference between the Kings winning a Cup in the next ten years or not. So if he goes to Mother Russia and plays with his comrades, I wouldn't blame him and I really wouldn't miss him.
You should watch a Kings game before you write off the King's best playmaker and puck carrier of the season.
Russia is about to start a new superleague and they are paying their players to play there.
Alexi Yashin and Danny Markov got more over there than they could ever swinle out of an NHL franchise, AND they don't have to pay taxes.
Frolov is making a pittance compared to what he could make over there. The Kings aren't going very far in the NEAR future and at the top of his game could double his salary playing for his native land.
It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him jump ship given the financial circumstances.
Something to ask Dean next week.
So what do you suggest the Kings do with him right now? Should they trade him into the last year of his contract with this team so this team doesn't lose out on him?
It just seems to me that ALOT of players more and more are starting to do it. This MAYbe not too good for the NHL, what you guys think?
