He has impressed, prooven, and demonstrated he has the ability to play in the nhl......next season! He has won enough games for us, I think Manchester could use him in right about now. I mean didnt we send Boyle down for similiar reasons. ****.. We are now tied for last with Tampa! Send Ersberg down immediately, we didnt suck an entire year so that we could go on a stupid final 5 game winning streak! God dammit, I want to see Staaaaaaaamkos next year. The Kings have done a great job sucking and putting themselves in last place so far, but if we continue winning in these last six games, especially since Atlanta and Tampa are tanking it on purpose, we are gonna end up with a third or fourth round pick again. Send Eersberg down immediately! Bring up Quick or Taylor get it done Deano!
He was pretty terrible in Manchester from what I could gather. He's putting up much better numbers here, and has commented that the faster pace of the NHL has helped his game.
And really, I'd like to see the Kings get the 1st overall too, but I'd rather them not purposefully tank the rest of the season to try and do it. There are plenty of great picks in the top 5, including many awesome looking defencemen. We've been over this.
Because he didn't come to North America to be a goalie for the AHL. He came to challenge himself at the NHL level and The Kings are giving him that opportunity. The other options are far too young and inexperienced and are their young minds will thrive with the experiences they will encounter these next couple of weeks and hopefully months. The idea you are suggesting to bring up Taylor or Quick is laughable and I hope you're getting as good a laugh as I am with it.
Also, sending Ersberg would probably risk sending him the wrong message and might cause him to probably cause him to return to his country. You never know with these Euros.
Anyway, I don't doubt you would understand this so don't worry your little head with these things...
Our goal tending situation has been so fragile for so long that I don't think it's a good idea to toss things up once again; the one time things seem to be going well finally.
Ersberg wasn't terrible in Manchester, but I don't think it is a stretch to say he has probably played better for the Kings. If Ersberg goes back down, who knows what his mindset would be. The Monarchs might be better off with the guys who are already here right now.

I agree and to be "fair" to Ersberg, he's not the first player and won't be the last to elevate his game when he got called up to the NHL from Manchester...
At this point, it is in the best interest of the King's if they desire to re-sign Ersberg to keep him up. Blow him off and send him back down to Manchester and he will tell the Kings "thank-you for the 1-year contract, goodbye" and sign with a different team. He is an RFA, but he still holds quite a few cards.
Plus, he was primarily brought up just as an emergency back-up when JLB got injured. Cloutier was expected to get the majority of the starts to end the season but Ersberg simply beat him out.
My main concern with him still is the overall Wins vs. Losses record Ersberg has. In Manchester, he posted respectable GAA and Save %, but he did not have a winning record. The team did not thrive in front of him. Manchester is a faster paced aggressive team that likes to continue to put pressure on the opposition. Ersberg's goaltending style of freezing the puck perhaps wasn't best suited for the Monarchs. In L.A. he has settled things down and provided stability and puck-control in the defensive zone to a defense that is always being pressured and out-worked. Thus, he has been more successful here, however I am still concerned about his Wins vs. Losses. Unfortunately for him, that is most likely a result of the poor talent playing in front of him right now.
