About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Assuming we resign O'Sully, Ersberg, Harrold, Moulson, and Blake, is this it?
O'Sully/Kop/Brown
Frolov/ Boyle/ Cammy
Moulson/ Hands/ Purcell
Rattis or Calder/ Army/ Ellis
Vis/ JJ
ok, first of all Dallman is a UFA and i doubt he's coming back. I would love to see Army traded or bought out. He brings nothing to the ice anymore. He's lost out there. As far as some of the other holes, i can see Redden and/or Commodore coming here.
That's a good estimate, but we'll see what kind of deals DL can pull off this offseason.... We may get a free agent in there somewhere... Also, don't expect our number 2 pick to jump right in either...
You cannot assume any defenseman drafted will be playing in the NHL the same year. That's almost unheard of. I've been asking around and the list is incredibly short so far:
Jay Bouwmeester back in 2002-2003
Ray Borque in 1979-1980
David Tanabe played 31 games in 1999-2000
Kyle McLaren played 75 games in 1995-1996
Brent Burns in 2003 barely qualifies. He was drafted as a right wing but the Wild switched him to D. He played in the NHL his first draft year but they sent him back to the minors the following year.
and of course, who could forget... Aki Berg for the Kings in 1995.
