With a new GM, coming in they are likely going to shift from being a defense first team to one that can generate more offense. They have $18M under the cap, with Naslund and Morrison both UFA, they already have 2 holes to fill in their top 6 forwards.
With their top 4 defense making under $4M per, they have assets they can trade away to acquire more offense.
Ohlund (UFA next summer)
Salo (UFA in 11/12)
Bieksa (UFA in 11/12)
Mitchell (UFA in 10/11)
Edler (Still on entry level contract)
Bourdon (Still on entry level contract)
Who would they be willing to move for The Midget?
Include any ancillary picks going either way in your offers.
That would solve a lot of problems regarding defensemen on the reserve list, but I would still like to get a young, NHL-ready defenseman in exchange for Cammalleri.

Bourdon is NHL ready. He played 27 games last season and he's 21 years old, one month younger than Jack Johnson.
Although I do like that, I think we'd probably have to throw in a forward prospect, or another pick in the 2nd round, probably the #32, to make that happen.

Bourdon is NHL ready in that he has all of the tools and experience necessary.
But he's yet to put it together for himself. Safe to say Nonis ****ed Vancouver by passing on Kopitar, as did about 4 other GMs. So, whereas Bourdon could start with Vancouver next season... it's unlikely that DL would pencil the kid in for next year. Like O'Sullivan, he'll have to prove himself ready. DL just isn't confident enough to give kids the chance at this level. He'd much rather give an established and aging vet the opportunity. And that's been my only complaint with DL thus far.

I'll take Willie Mitchell and Ryan Kesler for Cammelleri and a prospect (Lewis?)
Then rape Pitt and sign Ryan Malone and Brooks Orpick!
Brown/Kopitar/O'Sullivan
Frolov/Boyle?/Purcell
Malone/Handzus/Kesler = That 3rd line DL speaks of being defensive and tough to play against
Ivanans/Armstrong/Ellis
