Now it sounds like you're talking about Peter Harrold.
Let's face it, next year's Kings team is not going to be fighting for a Playoff spot. There's no reason a player with the upside of Luc Bourdon can't play 12-15 minutes a night on the 3rd d-pairing for a non-Playoff team.

My point is I just don't see DL putting him in that position given his age and inexperience at the professional level. Harrold is a good example. I don't see what they see but at least he's old enough where they're going to have confidence putting him out there. However, we have seen how DL has given opportunities to Kopitar, O'Sully, JMFJ and Bernier despite their age and inexperience. So, it would def. be interesting.
HOWEVER, this is a moot point. Vancouver is not dealing Bourdon ESPECIALLY to the Kings....sooooo

Well, I guess if we can get Bourdon and Schenn (via the #10 pick) I could come around on a deal like this.

Honestly, I think Bourdon is the one name that I can see being dealt. First, he has very good value as an asset. Second, the blueline is the Vancouver's biggest strength. They have amazing depth at the NHL level and they can afford to move a prospect like Bourdon if it means adding depth to their forward ranks.
Vancouver is locked into Bieksa for a cap hit of 3.75M until 2011, Mitchell at 3.5M until 2010*, Salo at 3.5M until 2011*, Ohlund at 3.5M until 2009*. They love Alex Edler more than adgy loves Japanese broads. Also, Krajicek is signed through next season.
Lastly, you're probably right that Vancouver won't deal him but it's the offseason and I love offering up Cammalleri in deals for young dmen.

Nashville fans don't seem to think they need Cammalleri, at least not at the cost of Suter. And the Predators already have three picks in the top 31, so I'm not sure if they really need another one. I suppose it depends on whether Steve Sullivan is healthy next year.
Vancouver seems like a more natural trading partner since they are likely losing Naslund/Morrison. But moving from #23 to #10 seems a little unlikely to include. Just my opinion:
#10 > Cammalleri - Cammy's contract status diminishes his value. Unless there's a steep drop in talent after the top 7/8, but seemingly it's a good pool this year.
Bourdon >= #23 - Bourdon is NHL ready now, whoever goes #23 is probably a few years away and probably wouldn't be a better prospect than Bourdon already is.

Your not taking into account that Ohlund, Salo, and Mitchell ALL have NTC's. Moving them requires them agreeing where to go.
They have no #1 line. Sorry, the Sedin twins and Pyatt just don't cut it as a #1 line.
They are going to have to overpay for 2 Top Free Agent forwards with their $18M in cap room, and possibly move Bieksa for more help as he's the only one of their top 4 without a NTC.
Although this is pure speculation, them deciding to make a change after meeting with Nonis might be because he was unwilling to overpay at the deadline for scoring help, and just as unwilling to make the same move now and continue building his team.
Their window is going to close. Sedins/Ohlund/Salo/Mitchell will all be up for UFA status in the years before its time to resign Roberto, and those 3 defensemen have NTC's. If they are going to try and take a shot with that core group, they have to make a splash or two now, or they are all going to depart.
