How long is he under contract for? If he's under contract for a few more years I'd consider trading some picks and players for him since it looks like Tampa is going to blow things up. Same goes for Olli, but obviously i'd give less.
To Tampa: Cammalleri, Dallas #1, Tukonen, and Lewis, and maybe another high pick or 2 we get from Blake or deadline trades.
I know the plan is to stay the path and not Mortgage the future, but at some point the pipe line has to be reasonably full. If you have enough assets you can do something like this. I think we may have enough assets and will have more after this year. I'm okay with roughing it and cellar-dwelling for another year, and getting yet another high first rounder, but I'd also be alright with speeding up the process a bit with Lecavalier.
He would be the kind of leadership this team is lacking.
Yeah, NOW is totally the time for that big move, the last move that gets us ahead of Detroit and Ottawa. DO IT!
Thanks for the sarcasm. Like I said I'm fine either way, and there are definite pros and cons. Cammalleri is gone by the end of next year anyway and not all prospects will make the team. I think there are a lot worse things you could do with your assets.

there is no guarantee that Cammalleri "is gone by the end of next year anyway," and one of the last things you'd want to do is make a deal like this to team with a problem like Tampa Bay, only to become the team with a problem like Tampa Bay.

Really?
You think a struggling Tampa team would take Cammi and a pile of ????? for Lecavlier?
The board should have a new rule.
People like you who propose 1 sided deals that only accommodate the Kings should have to send the proposed deal to a selected small group of people who actually know something about the game. They in turn would evaluate the proposed deal as actually having more than a snowballs chance in HE** of being done. Then let you know if you can post it.
If you post it without approval you get banned.
Not saying I don't like the discussion of trades, just that the ones thought up in Fantasyland, should stay there.
The Kings would be thoroughly interested in trading for Lecavalier.
They would join the group of about 25 others teams that would also bid for Vinny. The Kings aren't in any position now to add a major "core" player. Through FA, maybe but they'd have to make a large investment. Through trade, forget about it.

People like you, who think they should review what should be discussed on a Bulletin Board should be banned just for being jerks.
The post was more for the idea of trading for Lecavalier, and pointing out that we have the assets to do so. And that he is a player I wouldn't mind trading some assets for, not an actual proposal. As far as I know neither of us is a GM.
That idea of you thinking I need your approval to post a thought is 100x more ridiculous than my post could ever be.
I still remember a thread early last year where the original poster proposed Frolov+ for Lecavalier. And the majority of the responders argued that Frol
