UFA we may be interested in this summer?

Obivously barring them being resigned and they should be reasonably affordable:

Radim Vrabata - leading goal scorer for Phoenix this year, can play LW/RW
Brian Rolston - great leader, big shot, good speed/size
Andreas Lilja - former King, big size and steady stay at home defenseman
Niklas Hagman - lights us up all the time, good two-way player, can play LW/RW, goal scoring totals have gone up every year
David Vyborny - except the size issue, good passer and posesses leadership qualities
Barrett Jackman - physical defenseman we need, lposesses eadership qualities
Mike Commadore - if he doesnt resign with Ottawa he has the size and cup experiece we'd want
Jason Smyth - didnt even realize he was gonna be a UFA, im sure he'll resign with Philly but has great size, defensive defensemen and he could be the new Kings captain if we sign him and Blake isnt resigned
Jim Vandermeer - tough as nails, solid all-around defenseman
better, but has good offensive smarts from the point
Cristobal Huet - probably will be the most expensive guy on here and maybe a stretch, but an available #1 goalie? at a reasonable price....we want to start from the back end out right?

Obviously I realize our situation, and that we're not gonna sign any big contract free agents, thats why I didnt list Hossa, Sakic, Redden. But if we can get any of these guys for a reasonable contracts why not....we're gonna be short defenseman next year unless we sign some, especially if Blake doesnt resign which im sure we will but..... UFA: Blake, Stuart, Modry Who are we gonna replace them with? Harrold? Dallman? Petiot? Except for Harrold im suspect on the other two

I don't see a first or second line center on that list, and THAT needs to be our biggest priority.

Our biggest priority beyond getting a consistant net minder is defensive stability. Second line center is at least third on the list.

Jackman would be a good choice too, but he'll be more expensive.
Smyth? Sounds like a good option.

Gosh, I hope other teams don't need a solid stay-at-home defender.

Well probably not gonna happen unless we sign or trade for someone big...... I think our bigger need is physical defensive defenseman

Then a 2nd line center, then a goalie unless Labs brings his "A" game or Cloutier miraculously wins comeback player of the year..... we have problems stopping goals, not scoring them

so you wouldn't consider Brian Rolston even a 2nd line center???? Hmm. I guess people don't realize that there are capable centers out there whose names aren't Lecavalier, Crosby, and Kopitar...

Rolston....HELL yeah...great passer, not afraid to go into traffic, power play monster, one of the best shots in the game, leader...oh hellz yeah

id take Rolston in a second.

Only other two on there that yank my chain are Commodore and Jackman

Jackman scares me a little as his game has gone a bit south the last year or so..

he was the MAN a couple years ago when first breaking in...
