Forgive me if this is some sort of newbie trap thread.....but
I've seen the same guys on the jumbotron, and on TV when the Kings get a goal (2 times tonight vs. SJ)......who are those two guys with blonde hair and moustaches? They high five each other, and are at like...every game...and the camera always seems to cut to them celebrating.
At the Forum, they got season tickets right in front of the cameras, so that they would be on TV every time the Kings scored.
When everyone got together for the Season Ticket holder move when Staples was new, they complained that their new seats were not in front of the camera.
The Kings organization promised that they would continue to show them when the Kings scored.
I talked to them once after a game. They're actually really cool guys. Pretty down to earth.
My brother and I sit right behind them. They are long-time Kings fans and STH'ers. They pretty much know everyone that works at Staples. They both are overall really cool guys and have some great hockey stories...except for that London Hat (just kidding, Scott!).
Those dudes sit two rows in front of my season seats. To answer your question, the reason they are also always on tv is that we are in 115, right where the zambonis come out, and the camera man stands right there in that area filming from board level. Therefore, any time a goal is scored, he just turns around and films the crowd right there. That helps their cause.
I swear to god I have thought about posting something about this SO MANY TIMES....good post. You gotta know every Kings fan has wondered about those guys at some point in their lives!
