Not sure about others, but I'm not saying that he SUCKS, I'm not saying that he SHOULD be traded...
All I'm saying is that he is greedy (GLMFG
), quite one-dimensional, and also streaky. And most importantly, he's expendable (As a proof, go look @ the Kings record without him).
And because of that, Cammalleri is in my book the first very valuable player on the Kings that could be dealt for something we need more, like, defense.
If people carry on with loving all these players, and if DL listens to these people, you get a team full of lovely boys that will never ever win anything because that team lacks in certain department.
I know defensive forwards/defensemen are not as exciting to watch as Cammalleri is. But that doesn't mean they are not as important or even more important than he is.
And scorer? Brown is. Kopitar is. O'Sullivan has all the tools to become one. Purcell could be a legitimate scorer, too. Maybe even Boyle can continue with his insanity...
Add to all these points the most important one: We need DEFENSE.
Conclusion? If you have a player that doesn't contribute defensively, and has other flaws too, and if he's expendable, then you COULD trade him for something you really NEED without terrible consequences.
And if someone quotes me saying "You ****ing Cammy-hater", I can say it to you now: Go **** yourself and learn to read, and understand what you read.
