Would veteran defenceman Rob Blake waive
Would veteran defenceman Rob Blake waive his no-trade clause in order to leave Los Angeles?
"That's iffy at this stage," said Dreger. "He likes playing with the Los Angeles Kings - he's got a home there. That being said, he's also having a very good year with 23 points in 46 games, and there will be a strong market for defencemen. We talked about Brian Campbell, and there will be a strong market for a veteran presence like Rob Blake's. I think he'll move."
so Blakey is having a "very good year" huh? hopefully the media keeps pimping him up and increasing that trade value
It's all about "What have you done for me lately?", and Blake has done a hell of a lot lately. Since he's got over the hip surgery he's been playing great, and not even the biggest Blake doubter can say otherwise.

I am a HUGE Blake basher. I really have a problem with this guy.
But he has been playing great lately. In my opinion, he has been the best dman on the ice a few games in a row.
Yeah but freaking Norstrom wasn't going to be a UFA and he's a few years younger.
And he contributed nothing in terms of offense from the blueline, which is what most team's are lacking. Give and take...
We'll get more than a first for Blake. If you're that close to a Cup run where a good shot from the Blueline and a couple big hipchecks can get you there, a team will give up more than just a first.
