... players get back to their wives/family, girlfriends get their laundry done, pay their bills, etc.

But what ends up happening is that that first home game back, their focus isn't there and the home team usually tanks.

With Calgary on the cusp of NOT making the playoffs, AND the Kings having to go BACK on the road following the game tomorrow...

WILL THE KINGS COMPETE TOMORROW OR WILL IT BE A CALGARY BLOWOUT

I think they will compete, but not sure on the win. I agree with you (for a change) that usually the first game back after a long trip spells trouble. The last time Calgary was here we had them 4-3 midway through the 3rd then gave up a couple late PP goals followed by an empty netter and lost 6-4. Let's hope for a better result this time.

The Kings have had 2 days off and are feeling pretty good about their road trip performance. Calgary wins in overtime 5-4.
