About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. The things I don't dig are his lack of effort in supporting the puck and the tendency to leave the defensive zone before his teammates have established puck possession.

There must've been a dozen such instances over the last 2 games.
If you see someone heading the wrong way on the ice, odds are that it's him...
What I find interesting is one of the points of this post is based on viewer error, for lack of a better term.
Cammaleri was passing the puck to brown, not shooting. I dont' know if it is hard to see if you don't have HD or something, but especially on replay, it is plain as day to see that he slid the puck across the slot over to Brown. The puck hit the retreating D-MAN's foot, deflected off the goalie's pads, and Brown put it away. Cammaleri didn't even direct the puck on goal, so how exactly is it that he was mad that he didn't score
Yeah, it was a pass all the way. It was a hard quick pass, that deflected twice on route to Brown's stick.
This guy can't be *****ing serious? Trade Cammelleri cause he doesn't look happy after Brown scores? Dude, the Kings are the worst team in the NHL. There isnt much to smile about.
Yea I didnt like his attitude before/after the arbitration boll shiezen! He hasn't produced good number coming off an injury, I think this is important, because all players in the nhl go through injuries, but its how they come back from them that makes them special. Look at forsberg, I remember he would get injured, come back and keep scoring! Thats a player you want to have. Cammy is a great sniper, but too small, so he will get injured in the future, and if he doesn't have the capability to bounce back and play close to the way he did before then can him. He has been very selfish and not passing the puck, I think cammy is a guy who only cares about his numbers and nothing else, I agree with this thread, trade him at the draft!
Big mistake trading cammy at Draft time. I think he still playing injured the way Frolov was(and is just now healing or healed). Besides we'd get a way better return on Cammy if he plays next season the way he did at the beginning of this one. Then if his trade value is at a high, And he wont or does not look like he would resign here(His contract is up at end of next season), also take into account of where in standing we are next season near trade dealine, then we let him go for maximum return. I figured at beginning of this season after arbitration if he played "monster" all year and next we'd probably have to trade him at trade deadline 09 regardless of where we were becasue we would probably want the moon to stay here anyway.

A lot of speed/snipers do this in the chance that when their team gains control he is already down the ice ready for a pass for the breakaway. Palffy used to do this allll the time. I remember whenever they were even manned or on the penalty kill he would circle between his own blue line and the red line and occasionally come in and pester the points but mainly stay out there waiting for that pass. Frolov did it too in his early couple of seasons until he got injured and really slow. It strains on the defense but usually added a big tool on offense.

Again the question arises... How do you trade a UFA that has days left on his contract to anyone? Just because he is technically under contract and tradeable doesn't mean anyone in their right mind would take him. He would have to sign a new contract and then get traded for that to happen which is highly unlikely. He would either sign a contract and stay or goto free agency at that point. If Cammy is staying with the Kings he will make it beyond the '09 trade deadline. If DL can't sign him by then he is as good as gone and likely for less regardless of performance because of his contract. We are not talking about Hossa here.
Also...Brown didn't celebrate his goal either. Nobody cracked so much as a smile until Blake came over and gave Brown a face-wash after everyone slowly skated to the corner, and then everyone kinda had a good laugh, which means there was some kind of inside joke going on that none of us would ever be privy to.
