The Trade Deadline Thread (Long, with resources)

As we come into the weeks leading up to the Olympics (When there will be an NHL roster freeze) I wanted to create a centralized repository for everyone to access pertinent information so that everyone can reference prior to the onslaught of rumors and trade proposals that have already started to being.

Props need to go out to ryan for his assistance in sharing his version of the current Kings Reserve List, which you can see in PDF format here. As well as the online Top 50 list at Cap Geek
here that gets updated more frequently. That tool is also useful for playing with new acquisitions and seeing if they are going to work out from a cap perspective.

NHL Olympic Trade Freeze:

12 midnight Friday, Feb. 12th (Saturday morning). Ends 12 midnight Sunday Feb 28th (Sunday morning) (Both Times Eastern)

The deadline for the 2009–10 NHL season is set for March 3 at AT Noon PST.

i don't believe Dean is interested in any player with an expiring contract. Why would Dean give up an asset for a rental this season ? It's not his MO.
