That sexy smile... that soft voice... prr! Wait a minute...
Earlier this morning, Eklund threw out "Cammalleri to Toronto". Well, yeah.... anyway, I looked at the forum of that entry and included some offers that Toronto fans would support to get Mikey boy in Blue and White.
Interesting read...
Enjoy...
oh, and DO IT DEANO!

I could see Cammaleri for Steen/Antropov + Kubina/McCabe

I've always Said Cammalleri will be a Leaf sometime in his Career, I always thought it would through Free agency, I think Steen would be going the other way
Quote:
I'm assuming Big Nik would be a part of any package.
Quote:
raycorft and kubina for cammaleri?
Quote:
How about:
To TOR: Cammalleri/4th rounder
To LA: Antropov/White/2nd rounder
Quote:
I personally think a Cammalleri deal would involve one of either Antropov, Stajan, Steen, or Wellwood, and one of our high-priced defenceman. We can only hope.

I like that Cammalleri talk! I bet Steen is going the other way.
Quote:
maybe antropov and someone else for cammy...i can see it happen..gill is a great 4th defemnseman and good on the pk...antropov can definately fill that gap that cammaleri would leave.

Lombardi isn't stupid and won't take a 5-6M dollar salary back. It'll have to look like this, which is why it won't happen:
Steen/Antropov
Earl/Tlusty (Lombardi loves college guys, so I can see interest in Earl)
3rd rounder
Yikes, that would give them 10 picks in the first 3 rounds of the draft.

Steen + Kubina for Cammalleri

Antropov + White for Cammalleri

I could see Steen, Earl and Raycroft....for Cammalleri
Or Kubina and Earl and a 4th rd for Cammalleri

Cammalleri makes 3.1 this year, 3.6 next year. But that's not the point, they have plenty of cap space. The point is that they already have an overpaid defence next year. Blake will be back, Visnovsky goes up to 5.75 and they will be introducing one of Doughty, Pietrangelo or Schenn so their D is fine.

Besides, a rebuilding team isn't about to take on a 32 year old's expensive contract. Gill I can see, because they need some size and grit on their blueline.
Antropov
Gill
Earl
3rd
I'm telling you, if the Leafs traded for Cammy they would get hosed. Quote me on it.
Quote:
I still think it would take way more. Steen, Tlusty and Earl or something along those lines.
Quote:
I think Antropov-Cammalleri is in itself a good trade
Quote:
To the Sharks: Rob Blake, Mats Sundin, Nik Antropov
To Toronto: Cammalleri, Setoguchi and Ehrhoff
To Los Angeles: SJ first round pick, Tor 2nd round pick, Pavelski, Clowe, Stajan
Finally, one guy figured it out:

"Screw Cammalleri. We have enough small, soft guys... which will keep him from reaching his potential"

Wow, so one smart Leaf's fan on the whole board? I think it's funny people still hold him in such high regard. Good for us, higher return value! I like that last 3 way trade proposal! lol.
Maybe this is part of a three-way with the Ducks, to get us the EDM 1st.
i can think of only one player who fits Burke's criteria as someone capable of costing him that pick, and no amount of ups, downs, sideways or five-ways would that pick come to Los Angeles.
