Here's some madness for you:
[quote=The Natural;1115003]Bertuzzi is an idiot and a felon that Bettman allowed to be back in the league because they knew he was going to be a Duck this season. And while I'm at it I'm going to pick my nose saying I'm sorry and I had to do it. And who is going to win the lawsuit? If the Ducks get their way they will barter the league to help Bertuzzi win. Adding more fuel to the fire against the Ducks on April 5th
It's unfortunate what happened to Steve Moore, and Bertuzzi is a goon, but the lawsuits surrounding this situation are ridiculous. WTF does Orca Bay or MC have to do with the responsibility for this incident? First off, Orca Bay and MC are not responsible for Bertuzzi's actions, TB is a grown man that can think for himself. Secondly, Bertuzzi did not break Moore's back with the punch, it was the Av's player that jumped on Bertuzzi, which in turn made Bertuzzi fall on Moore, breaking his back. Maybe that Av's player will get sued by MC. LAME!
I would be willing to bet that crawford didn't tell him to break the guys neck! there are perfectly legal ways to nail someone and get them back in the NHL without a behind the back cheap shot!
Just ask Patrick Roy!
I asked Todd what he thought of Marc Crawford... this is what he did:

You have a multitude of choices here. Pick which one applies:
1) You're a doctor who specializes in blunt-force trama to the back/neck area.
2) You didn't watch it and you're talking out of the wrong hole.
3) You're a bleeding, goram moron.
This is asinine. The guy cannot take personaly responsibility for his own actions, so he's doing this. Seriously, this guy isn't just a hack in the game, he's a hack in life. Guys like this shouldn't be allowed to have kids, since he obviously can't even take responsibility for his own actions. Shame on the fen d-bag. I'll see him in Hell. (From Heaven. It's a better view)
Even if Crawford did tell his players to go after Moore, I am fairly certain he didn't instruct them to chase him down the ice, while ignoring the play, grab him from behind, sucker punch him and then fall on top of him while he falls to the ice, and get a couple more shots in for good measure.
If I give you a gun and tell you to go rob a bank, it doesn't mean I want you to shoot up the place. Bertuzzi is just a punk who is trying to deflect the blame off himself.
But, by handing me the gun you cannot be surprised that I used it. And, by handing me the gun you can be liable for anything that happens in the crime.
Don't want me to use the gun, don't give it to me.
In Crawfords case it will be interesting.
Crawford juggled the lines all game to get his tougher players together on the ice with Moore.
Bertuzzi and May who do not normally play together were both on the ice at the fateful moment.
The game was over, Crawford could have easily sat those 2 and others at the end and avoided any more confrontations with Moore. And Colorado could have sat Moore as well.
Now factor in...
The alleged comments by Crawford before the hit.
The juggling of the lines to get tougher players on the ice against Moore all game.
Putting May and Bertuzzi on the ice at the end.
It adds up to Crawford wanting somebody to get at Moore, now Moore did not deserve what happened to him. But, clearly Crawford made sure the tougher players had a chance to "make him pay a price". A price only Crawford knew, because had Moore paid that price Crawford wanted him to pay earlier in the game, no way Bertuzzi and May are on the ice together and go after him at the end of a game that was clearly over, but the time had not run out.
Though not liable for Moore's injuries directly Crawford does have some issues to bare.

This would all be assuming that there was no code in hockey. There is. Bertuzzi just cross the line from that code, he took a giant deuce on in while reading, not the newpaper, Satanic passages. A star player gets injured, you square off and knock a guy out face to face. Anyone who plays knows that. Bertuzzi has always been a d-bag, and the fact that he's trying to insinuate that anyone other than himself is responsibile for his actions, is, at best, the most childish thing an adult can do.
I'd tell you all how I really feel, but I'm afraid the board has rules about posting large, vast amounts of swear words.

Crockett,
Well put...
However, If you're depressed and I bring you do a bridge, is it my fault if you jump?
If you're in a store and there's no cashier, do you wait or take the goods?
What I'm getting at is, WE ALL MAKE CHOICES.
Sure, Crawford gave Bertuzzi and May the OPPORTUNITY for revenge but its the PLAYERS CHOICE to exact that revenge.
They didn't do it "Lappy Style" when Lappy walked up to Jack Johnson and said "you wanna get this out of the way?"
Nope.
Bertuzzi just confessed that his actions were PREMEDITATED. By saying Crawford told him to... (whatever the exact words were), Bertuzzi's actions were PREMEDITATED.
Pure and simple.
This reminds me of a movie a loooong time ago with Michael Moriarty and Meryl Streep. Moriarty plays a tough guy McSorley like hockey player who KILLS an opponent on the ice. What the trial proves is that because that is the nature of what he did and was trained to do, he was found not guilty. However, he was banned from the NHL for life... which is what they should have done with Bertuzzi.
I'm so tempted to buy a MOORE jersey and hold it behind Todd's head during the last game.
