About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. He really does play similar to Bernie Nicholls, anyone else notice that? I also like how the Handzus - Moulson - Purcell line was the only line to put consistent pressure on

Also, any takers for Derek Armstrong and his bonehead decision making during the trade deadline?
My final observation is that the Red Wings can skate and pass like no other team in the league. They're quick, patient, and very accurate with the puck which is the EXACT OPPOSITE of Kings Hockey.

After Army pretty much gave them a goal, I thought, "Man, his days are numbered. I wonder if DL can get a 6th rounder for him."

Bernie is one of my all time favorite Kings players. I appreciate your assessment of Teddy's play, and I am sure it is spot on. I would love to have the opportunity to watch him play, but this damn work thing, coupled with the evil TV schedule has me watching a game in like umm, another week!
he was interviewed after the game on kings talk also tonight. he comes off as a really smart guy. none of that "you know" or "ummm" stuff some people around here don't like and didn't give any cliché answers. i likes teddy. i likes him a lot.
Yea, Army mad a bone head play there but LaBarbera has GOT to make that save. it was a wrist shot for god sakes.
He has a hard time with the high shots.
On a high note though, I DID see a couple of defensemen step OUT of LaBarbera's line so he could see the shot and he did make those saves. That's at least an improvement. Stuart getting caught in the net on the third goal didn't help.

At least Bernie wasnt afraid to hit anyone. I like Purcell but he was timid last night.

I was listening as well and thought the same thing.
Really nice kid. Hope he stays with the big club until its time to go back for playoffs in the A. Assuming the Monarchs get into the playoffs.
I agree with Mr.I.... The Purcell-Zeus-Moulson line was the only semi-effective line playing last night IMO.
I've liked what I've seen from Moulson during his time with the Kings. I wonder if DL and his staff feel he's a part of the future, or if he's going to be a AHL guy, with the occasional call up to the NHL.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS:
-Preissing got absolutely undressed by Datsyuk for the 1st goal
-Labs should have stopped the 2nd goal, or Blake should have made a better effort to block that shot
-Armstrong looked lost on the ice last night
-JMFJ was more offensive than I've seen in recent home games.
-3 young ladies at Staples wore shirts that spelled out the phrase 'Put It In' WTF?
