Redden's not a #1 defenseman..... but he certainly gets paid like one.

He's a good defenseman, he would make the Kings a better team but he is one of the most overpriced and overhyped players in the league. He's not worth the cap space it would take to sign him.

Redden just isn't good enough for what we'd have to pay him. I'm in the camp that would rather have Orpik or Commodore as a King.
