BOYLE is playing like a veteran, ok i'm overreacting but he is not afraid of anyone or any challenge, this a guy playing only his second NHL game. Already has 2 goals in 2 games.
Cammy is rusty but should play better in a few games.
Defense sucks without Blake. JJ exception as usual. Also thought STUART had quite a good game.
LABARBERA did well, although was caught in noman's land a few times. Lady luck sure helped him out tonight.
Not a bad evaluation, I agree about Labarbera. It is better to be lucky than good in his case. Disagree about our defense... we sucked before Blake got injured.
I'm rather enjoying watching Brad Stuart consistently hammering guys along the boards with really, really solid body checks. I think from a game to game basis he is our most physical defender and his game has been picking up well of late. I'm not sure if it was a matter of getting comfortable with the system, teammates, environment, or what, but it's like night and day when looking back at how he was playing at the beginning of the season.
Kudos to him and the rest of the team; however, I imagine if this pace continues we may hear complaints from CBGB about how the Kings are going to win just enough games to miss out on his favorite prospect.

Im glad we got to see what frolov and kopitar can do when playing together, frolov seems to play with a little extra pep in his step. I thought Boyle was good in the faceoff circle as well as in the offencive zone. So far this year i have been impressed with all of our AHL call ups (moulson, boyle, harrold, purcell).
And Frolov... man, so good. Tyutin still doesn't know what happened on that Kopitar goal.
TSN reports a bit different story: his teammates told him, but he didn't get it. So he actually knows what happened, he just doesn't understand. Go Fro!

Plus the guy was playing on a severely injured foot for the better part of the month of December.
If Brad is still on the team on Feb. 27, I'd imagine that a med-long term deal is definitely in the works.
I was at the game tonight and it was incredible. The Kings played really well, especially in the first. Stuart, Kopitar, and Boyle all stood out. Cammy played well for his first game back and it didn't seem like anyone really had a bad game, except Sean Avery. I'm a huge Avery fan (that's why I made the trip out here) and even I can happily say that it was nice to see my team throw him off his game, though his goal was nice as well. Overall, a great effort and a very, very satisfying win.

Stuart did have a strong game, and I think Lubo is starting to play better as well..his shot eems to be getting harder or something, he's really pounding the puck on net lately. JMFJ did get away with a VERY bad pass from behind his own goal up the middle in the third, gotta STOP doing that J.J.

I imagine if he maintains this level of play he could fetch a very healthy return come the deadline, but I would much rather prefer he stay with the team as one of the veteran holdovers for next season and possibly beyond. I'll grant he still has his lapses where he goes brain dead and gaffes on defense, but his propensity to lay out the hits could make him one of the rare Kings besides Brown that the opposition has to really worry about.
I'm sure Travis Moen can vouch for Stuart's skill in that department.
