The reason I ask is, after reading the TSN article about what the Kings need, they said that LaBarbara hasn't proven himself as a number one goaltender. His stats this year rank him in the top 20 of all the goaltenders that played in more than 27 games. Jason LaBarbera, LA 45 17 23 2 3.00 121 1220 .910
With a .910 save % he has better or equal stats to some pretty good goalies. It seems to me given those numbers, he has proven he can be a number one in this league. I think that the Kings we be fine with Labarbra,Ersberg, and Bernier. Just my .02 .

If the D in front improves, the goalies we have can get the job done.

First off, I want to say I have no problem with a LaBarbara/Ersberg tandem, because goaltending IS NOT, NOR HAS IT BEEN the Kings problem for the last couple of years.

Having said that - and I know I am gonna take some flak for this - I would take Turco from that list. He just seems to be one of those 'great locker room guys' that Lombardi seems to love.

also, if I recall correctly, the article states that no one has been able to be in net as a #1, either. Labs hasn't been 100% healthy across a season.

Ok now that its not a goalie problem I will go a step further and say it isn't the defensemen as well! It's the way the coaching staff uses our personel on defense

The idea that people are happy with Labarbera just goes to show how low expectations have gotten around here.
