He's not being showcased. I don't think he needs to be, tons of teams wanted him just as badly when he was a free agent. And he clearly earned a call-up. If you see someone like Tukonen come up, that might be a "showcasing" and I doubt they'd do that anyway, the way they're trying to develop kids. Sends a wrong message when you call kids up that don't belong yet.

I agree. Purcell is part of the rebuild. However, the idea of reacquiring Jokinen made a lot of sense when I first read Gescom's "trade Cammy" proposal a few weeks ago. I would love to see a package involving Cammalleri bring Olli back to the Kings. Do the Kings have the necessary goods that might entice the Panthers and make it happen?

I wanted to call you an idiot or something like most LGK'rs seem to enjoy but this might be an interesting idea. Sure would solve the second line center problems and take alot of heat off Anze. I'm a huge Cammy fan but with the Kings showing they can live without him maybe you could move him. But not for picks. It would be great to see Ollie back and between Nagy and Frolov they might just go off. . .they could hold the puck in the offensive end for minutes at a time.
[color="White"]Maybe CBGB is seeiing his boy Perry in Purcell and wants Purcell to be traded so he and bitch and moan on how the Kings didn't give him a chance. As for acquiring Jokinen,maybe DL trades Hanzus,Tukonen and a mid round pick for Jokinen. Purcell is part of the Kings future.
It would probably damage DL's reputation in future negotiations with signing free agents. I think it would bode well for DL and The Kings if they gave their kids who've earned a chance to play, a chance to play.
Just say no to Jokinen. If DL did that deal, he should be fired. I don't understand the fascination DL has for this guy who was traded twice. If it wasn't for Keenan, he would have been out of the league a long time ago.
I'd rather have Marleau. At least he has a ton of playoff experience.
By the way, I'd still wouldn't trade cammy for either of those two. Richards or Lecavalier, absolutely.
Thats all i can say. There were 30 teams after the kid and Dean signed him there is no way he is going to be traded. Cammy will be traded and Purcell will take his spot.
