About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. TK is a good guy. I wish him all the luck and I hope he wins a Cup.
And while we're at it, care to elaborate to support your statement?
One player was once considered a solid 2nd line player in the NHL and has eclipsed the 50 point barrier a couple of times and glue's his gloves on so they don't accidentally fall off just in case somebody may think he wants to go.
The other player was never near a second line player, never eclipsed the 25 point barrier and his gloves actually do come off.
When trying to build an identity for a team, it is hard to imagine a better role model that TK.
DL signs guys like Thornton for this exact reason, yet let Kostopoulos walk. He is the exact type of player guys want on their team. He was respected and liked in Pittsburgh and LA, and I am sure he will be a mainstay in Montreal..

Role models don't get arrested outside a bar late at night for resisting arrest while out with their purse snatching buddy.
"The NHL isn't immune either. Recently in Tampa, two members of the Montreal Canadiens were arrested after stealing a woman's purse and cell phone from a nightclub and resisting arrest respectively. Montreal Canadiens defenseman Ryan O'Byrne was arrested for Grand Theft. He allegedly stole the woman's purse, 20 dollars and her cell phone. When police tried to arrest O'Byrne his wingman, right winger Thomas Kostopoulos was arrested for resisting an officer. Both O'Byrne and Kostopolus make well over 500,000 dollars a year playing hockey."

But it is an absolute shame many of you are spouting your OPINION of him as being a nice guy, team player, leader, role model or any other positive spin you have as fact. And this fact is based on an overtime goal or the perceived importance he has on Montreal or had on the Kings.
Now had he not scored and took a penalty that led to Philly winning, the same folks who fawn all over him would be patting Lombardi for not signing this tool who cost Montreal a game and the same BS opinions would be negative instead of positive.
The same goes for Cammi, you think his contract demand was way too high so he's greedy therefore he isn't a team player, role model, leader, nice guy and spew negative opinions as fact. All based on leaked contract demands.
Though no other information has surfaced to say he's greedy, hates everybody, a bad locker room guy or a just a bad person all around many of you continue to pound the kid for something that isn't true just your perceived opinion of something based on salary demands.
Get the FU** off your high horses and look at reality. If it was Cammi getting arrested late at night for resisting arrest, you folks would be screaming to dump him at all costs. Calling him a bad guy, not a role model, bad team guy for staying out late at a bar. No way no how you folks say all the nice things about Cammi you have been heaping on Tom K.
But, because it was somebody you like, it is somehow forgotten or not relative to your spin so TK gets the free pass and Cammi is the bad team guy.
The fact is none of us really know for sure and until we do we should keep opinions about peoples character to ourselves and base out discussions on FACT.

Dude was standing up for a teammate! What else could you ask for? Most of the Kings players would probably rather snitch on their teammates.
Let me get this straight
Out late at a bar with a guy who steals a purse and when the cops come and arrest said team mate he thinks he can somehow be above the law and "Stand up for a teammate" who is in the process of getting arrested.
What's next a medal for Corvo.
Well TK was a healthy scratch the next night, I guess management and the coaches didn't think it was very admirable.
I would think that a good team mate wouldn't be hammered at the wee hours of the morning during a stretch in the season when he is a healthy scratch.
