It would seem that the value of some tradeable offensive players just went up. Perhaps this scenario may turn some teams who were in the running for Sundin look to the Kings. We'll probably see guys like Hossa, Jokinen, Tanguay, Prospal, and perhaps Brad Richards move as soon as tomorrow...and maybe Cammalleri could be targeted.

The Avs broadcasters mentioned during their game with the Oilers that Tanguay may have suffered an injury in today's game. Montreal was the rumored destination for Tanguay.
I cannot leave my teammates and join another NHL Club at this time. I have never believed in the concept of a rental player. It is my belief that winning the Stanley Cup is the greatest thing you can achieve in hockey but for me, in order to appreciate it you have to have been part of the entire journey and that means October through June. I hope everyone will understand and respect my decision.
It looks like if Hossa goes to Anahiem.Burke will have to give up Edm.'s (2008)1st rd. pick. Atlanta would be stupid not to demand Ana. to include in a trade. Let the trade flood gates begin.
Hossa is a winger and the Ducks have injuries to centers Marchant and Weight. I have to believe Burke is considering Cammalleri under the circumstances. He tried to get Norstrom last year so apparently Burke has no problems trying to trade for a King. (And had he given Lombardi the team's 2008 #1 rather than the 2007 1st, 2nd and 3rd, Norstrom just might be a Duck right now, I suspect.)
