About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. 10 goals in 2 games.
But they're not his fault.
Lousy defense.
They're not his fault.
Bad team.
They're not his fault.
Time for the excuse makers......
Time for the excuse makers...... 1) he was shielded by that sloooooooow shot from Grier 2) Nobody could have stopped THAT goal 3) He should have had that one 4) He should have had that one too 5) It was a 5 on 3 and he got beat high (again)
Folks, he's GOOD, but he's no better than LaBarbera, he's certainly not better than Garon nor is he even better than Burke.
Keep dreaming.

I'm sure a win would have resulted in a thread containing the opposite information about ersberg ruining the draft pick
worst case situation, two years down the line the name i put on my jersey will be the equivalent of an inside joke for those that can remember twelve games at the end of the 07/08 season
Be careful with what you say to CBGB when you dont have 6,000 posts or havnt been registered since 2003 you might get one of his infamous internet lashings.

labarbera gives up the rebound goals, erseberg doesn't. I rank him ahead of labs on that fact alone. how much higher is ranked time will tell.
But i've said this before and I'll say it again, the majority of people in the ersberg love affair are not saying hes going to be our franchise tender, but he's good enough to play for a season or most of the season while bernier gets prepped in the ahl.

It's not that hard.. just say CBGB - go **** yourself. He's got a thick skin. He can handle it.
He's also a nice guy... and a Kings fan. A Kings fan that has been disappointed in Ersberg's play over the last couple of games as most of us have been.
Trade one of the two plus some other assets and get a true #1 goalie.
And to help us on D. Sign Orpik or commodore or both and we have a better defense that might actually help out the #1 goalie. Not just make a back up look good from time to time.

Well in that case, CBGB, go **** yourself
I'm not disapointed in Ersberg's play as much as I am with how TERRIBLE our defense is. T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E--------------------BAD!
If Ersberg had gone undefeated all the way into the offseason, not only would he have taken the Kings out of the top 3 picks... but come training camp, he would have STILL had to battle LaBs for the first spot.
I don't mind seeing Ersberg struggle against TOP notch teams...
Either way this thing would have gone to training camp.
Good for him.
Good for the Kings. We can't pick lower than 2nd (3rd if a team wins the lottery)
