It won't take long, but teams will watch tape and see the goal that Bobby Ryan scored on him (stick side high) from the slot and realize that's where he's vulnerable....
every goalie is vulnerable high stick side. that's why they cheat to that side a little.
Notice how every Star was shooting HIGH and connecting with the back of the net?
This guy is small and leaves TONS of room up top which is where Dallas was shooting all day.
When Ersberg plays San Jose twice in the next week, they'll light him up as well, which is fine by me since I only hope the Kings win one more game (and that's against the Ducks)
Ersberg is no better than LaBarbera and LaBarbera just ain't good enough
But at least we're that much closer to.....
So your saying it took all these teams 12 games to figure out that shooting high is the way to go?. I guess PHX didn't get the memo.

LaBarbera couldn't control a rebound if it bounced off a wall in front of him.
But it's all ok, last in the league is just a few games away.

1st goal - bad angle shot snuck through (not a bad goal to give up, but it could of been saved)
2nd goal - bounces off a skate in front. what can u do?
3rd goal - PP goal - after stopping a few point blank slapshots. One of them trickles past him and a man is untouched to knock home the rebound.
4th goal - man skates to within 2 feet for a one time shot. not many goalies are gonna stop that.
5th goal - KEVIN FREAKIN DALLMAN loses the faceoff. Eriksson has ALL DAY to pick his spot as Tom Preissing and his purse fly over Ersberg in a last ditch effort to stop the puck.

Just a note for accuracy's sake regarding the 5th goal. Eriksson had all day to pick his spot because Ersberg lost his balance on a half-hearted poke check and was laying face down while Eriksson skated to the side & put it in the open net. If Ersberg had either been successful with the poke check, retained his balance on the poke check or just held position and moved along with the shooter then that goal doesn't happen. Even though there was a misplay before the shot opportunity, that goal was on Ersberg.
Though Ersberg wasn't spectacular, he has given us a chance to win almost every start. Our defense is pathetic! They let him down several times today. I would definetly consider him as our #1 next year. I love his quickness and overall he is a solid goalie. He is consistent and thats all you need. Our defense is the area that needs HUGE improvement this offseason.

WEAK SAUCE! Like many people I have been reading this forum for years before I decided to join so I'm hardly a newbie. You may have 6000 posts vs my 30 but how many of yours are of interest? Truthfully not many! They best thing you've done as of late was post a transcript of Breakfast with the GM and for that I applaud you. Once again I'll point out that all you do is stir the pot.
1 and 5 were not very pretty even though 1 was very unlikely. The rest were all on the defense and the formations Crawford uses. Either way, we are not going to prove or disprove Ersberg's #1 position here so I say we all get back to the discussion of funnel cakes and how great CBGB is...
