Stamkos Thoughts: If the Stars fallout of the playoffs

If the Stars go 0-6 or 1-5 down the strech and by a minor miracle fall out of the playoffs to secure the last lottery pick, what are the Kings chances of winning Stamkos? 48.8% to what? 69 percent?

If Dallas gets into the lottery and even with the Kings having their pick it doesn't effect the Kings odds. In fact, Dallas losing today hurt the Kings chances more than them winning the game.

For Dallas to miss the playoffs, Nashville would have to pick up 8 more points than Dallas with each team having 6 games left. The chances of this happening are...wery wery bat.

edit: I was looking at an 06/07 schedule when I said they had a head-to-head with Nashville. They do not.

But how sweet would it be if LA finished last and then Dallas missed the playoffs AND won the lottery? Two top-10 picks without any trades!

True but if we won the lotto with DAL pick that would guarantee that the last place team would get 1st overall... which will be us. So it would bring up our chances of netting the 1st overall.

How's aboot Dallas missing the playoff, they win the draft lottery, and some other team kicks the **** out of the Ducks.

It's a better dream than the Ducks getting the 1st round pick and winning the cup.

Aside from San Jose, I dont think there is a team capable of kicking the **** out of the ducks in the first round. and even san jose might not be able to do so.

Just so I can share in this wet dream, let me get this straight (chronologically):

Dallas tanks, misses the playoffs, and becomes the #14 team in the lottery
We finish last
The draft lottery is held, and despite the incredible odds Dallas wins the lottery and moves up four spots
Someone else knocks the Ducks out of the playoffs
On draft day, by virtue of being the worst team and Dallas winning the lottery (instead of someone that could jump in front of us), we draft 1st and 10th overall
