About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum.
Dream all you want but we are not picking him. You can even ask DL next Sunday.
Umm, if the Kings get the first pick, yes, they are. DL's gone on record time and again to say that he drafts the best guy available, regardless of position. The only other possibility is the Kings trading down, and Stamkos is just too good to do that.
Okay, being that we tend to jinx the team in regards to possiblty picking up this player or that player, I'm with some of you and feel we may just end up losing out on Stamkos.
Trade the first pick in the draft? I will instigate a riot at Staples if the Kings pull that ****.
THAT would be the dumbest thing this franchise ever did. Get some excitement, make it a media event, get fans in LA excited about the Kings. Jesus, we rarely sell out, and the place is full of empty seats, make some ****ing noise!

If the Kings were smart, they would host a open invitation draft party to all fans on draft day.
Back in the 80's I went to a couple at the Forum, at a time when the Kings were better, and they didn't have 10 picks in the first 4 rounds.
