The best draft party the Kings had was when they had 3 picks in the 1st round - They gave out Hockey News to every fan - unfortunately, the cover displayed Giguere so they had someone rip them all off.
The food was great, the place was packed (not like the sardine can last year), and when we picked Brown, the place erupted.
Then the infamous "time out" before Tambellini and Boyle were picked. Then the Ducks traded up to take Perry and I didn't stop bitching for 5 years.
Ah, memories.

I haven't brought this one up yet but I was there (as were many LGK faithful) and I clearly seem to recall some very vocal people who were VERY upset that we didn't trade that Boyle pick for Anson Carter.

No, I don't need any more confirmation. I was admiring your scenario and thought that if the Kings were denied the top pick in such an excruciatingly improbable manner, it would certainly be accompanied by a heavenly sign, a celestial mooning if you will.
This is an extremely smart idea. You need to ask this question to the Kings.
Alas, I'm not a season ticket holder, so I don't matter much to AEG.
If they were smart and wanted to keep the fanbase excited after this seasons disaster, and counter the fact that the Ducks will be in the news long after the Kings season is done, they would open up Staples for a few hours in the morning and have Bob & Foxy host, say, the first 2-3 rounds and have the center Ice feed on the big screen.
