Never said that we did need him. It seems that there are many on here that love the thought of getting Stamkos in the draft and Filatov is near his equal. Just curious as to why there are no comments about him. It is a very, VERY long shot, but he could go at #1. BTW, The fact that he is Russian hurts him in the rankings more than anything. Also, not sure how his weight actually compares to Stamkos, as I have seen Filatov and Stamkos listed about the same on some sites. Though he does look smaller and lighter than Stamkos. They are both smaller than Beach, too bad he has character issues. Otherwise, Kyle Beach would be my first choice.

Unless DL totally screws up, I will be happy at this year's draft. There is handful of top tier talent at this years draft and we are assured of getting one of them. Also, we have plenty of pics that can land us some decent D prospects regardless of who our #1pic will be.
