Someone posted an interview in here with Doughty where he said growing up, his favorite team was the Kings, since Gretzky was his favorite player...Ok, Doughty was born in 1989, and Gretzky played with LA from 88 - 96.....Seems Doughty would be pretty damn young to base his favorite team and player as a kid seeing as he was 0 -7 years old while Gretzky was a King...
It should be noted that in Canada they replay games from the Leafs - Kings 7 game series pretty darn often. In certain parts of Canada you will even see lots of replays of games 2 and four of the 93 Finals....
the one fishy thing about the interviews is that stamkos hasn't yet spoken to dl in person, but doughty has. hmmm wonder who lombardi is after.

Question: Have you talked with any of the Kings’ scouts this season?
Stamkos: After the first playoff game in Windsor I actually had the opportunity to speak with Mr. (Michael) Futa (Director of Amateur scouting) and I believe Mr. Lombardi was there with him – I think he was there with him, I can’t be 100% sure. I talked to both of them after the game and they just kind of asked how I thought I played and just told me to keep my play up. We’ll see come draft day and the lottery how things play out.

I wouldn't put too much stock into an informal interview.
I was born in '87 and have been watching the Kings since '95. Parents got a hold of some box seats at the Forum for a couple of games, since then, been addicted.
I was an Oilers fan until i was 5 (when Gretz was traded). Ive been a Kings fan ever since. When your Canadian, the first word out of your mouth is usually your favorite hockey team.
age 6 & 7 is where I decided my favorite teams....I still love the New York Football Giants because they were the best team in Tecmo Bowl which I received for my 7th birthday....
Me too: Kings, Dodgers, Lakers, Rams(yuck). Tecmo bowl? LMFAO. I used to love that game.
I was born in '65. When I was lucky enough to see a Kings game (on channel 9 I think) I would bounce up and down in front of the TV. It was the best thing ever for a little kid. If there was no TV I would listen on the radio in my little house in Fountain Valley while trying to go to sleep. Those were the days.
