About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Like I said a week ago: "Rob Blake will NOT be Traded"

Kings President and General Manager Dean Lombardi, in Naples, Fla., for the NHL general managers' meetings that end today, said he had not asked Kings captain and defenseman Rob Blake to waive his no-trade clause. They met last week to discuss Blake's future, and Blake, who will be an unrestricted free agent after the season, said later he did not want to leave.
"I just don't think it's necessary to go through the process unless there is a legitimate offer," Lombardi said. "If we have an offer. . . . I'm not at that point."
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

if anyone really thought/thinks he was going to be traded you're crazy. He has never had any intentions of leaving LA after he got his CUP. His sweater will go to the rafters and many mnay years from now he will thought of fondly.
Now my CBGB like predictions- There will be a race this weekend in Fontucky. Wait and see bitches
Until they come out and say Rod Blake will NOT be traded, I do not believe it.
"Contrary to reports suggesting Kings defenseman Rob Blake has said he won't waive his no-trade clause, he has not been asked by GM Dean Lombardi to do so. Lombardi said Tuesday he's spoken to Blake in general about the defenseman's feelings regarding a possible move and has an idea of what teams might be attractive to him.
"I think I have a pretty good idea of where he'd like to be," Lombardi said.
The belief is Blake, 38, who returned to Los Angeles at the start of last season, would like to stay on the West Coast, which means Anaheim and San Jose would be logical landing points. Still, the Ducks are more interested in help up front than adding to an already talented blue line."
He has not said he will not. What he has said is politically correct. So far, he is handling this situation 100% better than he handled his first trade.
Well at least it sounded like DL would ask him to waive his NTC if there was a good offer on the table. That's better news than Blake not wanting to leave his waffles and wraps after surfing for 6 mil a year.
Before the trade deadline Rob Blake, Los Angeles Kings; after trade deadline Rob Blake, Los Angeles Kings. Next season Rob Blake. Los Angeles Kings, that's how it's going to be, the sooner you accept it, the sooner you can move on.
BOOOOO on Rob Blake and the $12M the Kings have wasted on him the past 2 years. Shame on Lombardi for all of his bone headed moves!
(other than helping set up his replacement in JMFJ).
Shame on you, Dean Lombardi, for doing things the right way, even if it sets us back for a year or two! Shame on you for trying to build an organization with a proper foundation, instead of throwing money at a couple bandaids each year and barely missing the playoffs every season! Shame, shame, shame!
