View Poll Results: Should DL package a trade for ANOTHER top 5-10 pick?
Should Dean Lombardi try to package our Dallas pick and other lower picks for another
pick in the top 5-10, in order to land TWO top Prospects?
Example--Doughty (2nd pick) PLUS: Schenn, or Bogosian, or Pietrangelo, etc etc??
Imagine coming away with the likes of DOUGHTY/BOGOSIAN!!!!!!!!!
OR
DOUGHTY/SCHENN
PIETRANGELO/SCHENN
Whatever.
DL's hard work has brought us a nice QUANTITY
of good prospects (Purcell, Piskula, Bagnall, etc etc)
But now, IMO, we need QUALITY to balance it out.
And the sooner, the better.

We should keep the Dallas pick, and use other pics + players to land another 7-12 pic. My hope is that we can pick up Schenn somehwere after the 7th pick.

That would take another top 4 pick IMO.

yes, but NOT if it involves anyone like Mike Cammalleri.
Wait, wait, Mr. "Cammy and a pick" now says no to this?? I am confused ...
This being said this is the summer I think we as Kings fans better be prepared to see a roster overhaul. It will take something to get something and I think that Kopitar, Johnson, O'Sullivan (who is due a decent RFA payday), Brown and Frolov are untouchable as are Boyle and Moulson. So who is left to deal??
It is going to take something to get something and unlike the NFL 2 second rounders won't get you that other first rounder. Equally I don't see any of the top 10 teams dealing their pick for the Dallas first or one of the second rounders. We are going to have to give up a player. Cammy will get you the most in return ...

If it can be done by something like Dallas 1st + 2nd + 3rd I'm all for it. I however do not want to see quality roster players/prospects being packaged for it, unless something more is coming our way back.
Noticed that second that just went by?
There goes another one.
Each one of those seconds (and each subsequent one until he is re-signed or traded) was accompanied by a loss in Mike Cammalleri's trade value.
I agree, and that's the problem. Waiting until next year's deadline to move him could really be a bad move. I really don't see Cammalleri wanting to negotiate an extension this summer and have his new salary based on his accomplishments this past season.
